STEP 1:

Using a knife, break the top loose and remove it as shown below (left).

STEP 2:

Locate the three holes shown above (right). These are the three tiny holes. Do not confuse them with the larger holes that the little pegs on the top go into.

These three holes will have to be enlarged slightly with a 1/16" drill bit, or you may use a sharp pointed object like a knife, or an Exacto knife. The holes only have to be large enough for the needle to pass through.

STEP 3:

Each of the three compartments will hold 2-3 ml of ink. Using one syringe for each color, draw 2-3 ml of each color and insert the needle in the hole that corresponds to that color. Be VERY careful to not put the wrong color in the wrong hole. The ink cartridge will be ruined if you do. (You can insert a pin or paper clip to check for the color of the ink). Be sure to inject the ink VERY SLOWLY! If you inject it too fast it will foam inside the cartridge and the tiny air bubbles will cause your printouts to have skips and blank places. If the ink drips out the bottom the compartment is full. Be careful not to tilt the cartridge so that the drips cross over into the other ports on the bottom. This will contaminate the colors and ruin the cartridge. You should place black tape over the fill holes that you are not working with to avoid the contamination problem.

STEP 4:

Put the top back on the ink cartridge and put a piece of scotch tape over it to hold it on. Make sure the scotch tape doesn't seal the tiny hole on top. It needs this hole to keep from vapor locking.

STEP 5:

Place cartridge back in printer and run cleaning cycle before trying to print with it. It is best if you can let the cartridge sit upright for an hour or so first, but it is not always necessary.

TO CLEAN YOUR HANDS:

Use soap and water first. If you can't get it off with that, try using bleach.
